As a Florida Notary Public, weddings can be performed with traditional or non-traditional vows and are considered legal. Requests for the Keys, and South Beach have been popular with couples. However, weddings can be done at beaches; parks; private homes; and other acceptable places in the South Florida area.
Every couple must obtain their marriage license by going in person to a courthouse that provides the certificate. The certificate must be presented before the wedding takes place with acceptable identification (driver's license, passport, etc), and the couple will be provided a special keepsake certificate for their special day by the Officiant. Commitment ceremonies can be done as well without the state issued certificate.
