Background Details:
As a Florida Notary Public, weddings can be performed with traditional or non-traditional vows and are considered legal. Requests for the Keys, and South Beach have been popular with couples. However, weddings can be done at beaches; parks; private homes; and other acceptable places in the South Florida area. The Payment link has more details on how to reserve your special day. Permits may be required for some desired locations.
Every couple must obtain their marriage license by going in person Monday-Friday to a courthouse that provides the certificate. The certificate must be presented before the wedding takes place with acceptable identification (driver's license, passport, etc.), and the couple will be provided a special keepsake certificate for their special day by the Officiant. Commitment ceremonies can be done as well without the state issued certificate.
